Over de functie

As a Structural Engineer at Altrex, you are responsible for designing, calculating, and assessing the load-bearing structures of Altrex products and custom-made solutions. You ensure that every product – from standard scaffolding to complex, customer-specific constructions – is built to be safe, strong, and efficient.

You will be part of a team of six engineers within the Product Engineering department. Together, you are responsible for delivering projects accurately and on time. Since you will frequently consult with and advise Altrex partners, it’s important that you can clearly substantiate your calculations.

Your responsibilities include:

• Performing strength and stability calculations for Altrex products

• Translating calculations into clear technical advice

• Preparing reports to support your work

• Coordinating calculation assignments with external parties

• Working closely with colleagues from Design, R&D, and Production

• Representing and explaining technical decisions, both internally and externally

• Contributing to the safeguarding and sharing of knowledge about standards and guidelines within Altrex

Functie-eisen

• A completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience with strength calculations, preferably on aluminum structures.
• Strong communication skill and you are able to clearly explain your calculations and viewpoints in the various meetings you will take part in
• You are a team player with a proactive attitude and a keen eye for detail.
• Knowledge of or interest in standards and regulations related to aluminum structures

Employment conditions:

• A direct employment contract with Altrex

• 27 vacation days and 13 additional leave days in accordance with the Metal & Engineering Collective Labor Agreement (CAO Metaal & Techniek)

• A salary matching your experience and background, up to a maximum of €5,800 gross per month based on full-time employment

• 8% holiday allowance

• An annual bonus

• The possibility to work from home one day per week
